One of the things that I have been taught to do is to observe people. I do not try to hide it - people fascinate me. Tall people, small people or thin people and fat people - however they may look, they do fascinate me. One of the groups of people everybody sees everyday is rich people. Let's be honest; they get everywhere. You open a magazine or a newspaper, you switch on the TV or the laptop and they are there. What fascinates me even more is that one rarely sees those who have been working behind the scenes - those who have coached them, trained them, mentored them. Where are their Sherpas?
Most of the great actors, sportsmen, politicians, business leaders and entrepreneurs ALL had their own coaches and yet these men and women are largely anonymous. They work in the background, they are always at hand to advise and mentor their prodigies. They are constant and loyal companions. Yes, they are also well-paid and that is because they have the ability to launch careers to the next level. Obviously, having a coach is an investment but once you are comfortable with your chosen coach then the investment will be repaid many times other. And that applies to MLM coaching as much as any other kind.
"How?" I hear you say.
1) A true MLM coach will have personal experience of getting rich
One of the universal rules of coaching is to "follow the leader". We must follow those who have been successful. Would you take investment advise from a bankrupt or employment advice from somebody who had been living on social for many years? No. A great coach is a great coach because he or she has been able to perform at the very highest level. That is not to say that a soccer coach has had to have captained the national side but that he fully understood the industry. If you are looking for an MLM coach would it make more sense to work with somebody who had verifiable success or somebody who had an award-winning trumpet player? Who is right for you?
2) A true coach will have trodden the same path
Look for somebody with industry experience and look for somebody who has made a success of their journey. In that way, a good MLM coach will show you how to avoid the hurdles, keep out of the difficult terrain and be there for you if the going gets unexpectedly tough. They will help you to get where you want to get much faster than if you were on your own. A true Sherpa.
3) Quality people attract quality people.
A good MLM coach does not live or work in isolation. He or she has an inner circle of quality people to tap into AND he or she will be willing to share these contacts. Good coaches realise that they do not know everything themselves BUT the best ones will know to get access to genuine expertise in a huge variety of areas. At the same time as building their contact base, they are constantly improving your circle of contacts. A real “win-win”. You will gain access to people you may never have thought possible simply because your coach has developed relationships with them over a number of years. Remember, this is not an add-on or a favour. This is a key role of the coach. This helps you become more successful and in doing so strengthens the reputation of the coach. Don't forget your new contact may very well have been helped by the same coach just a few short months ago!
4) A good coach accepts the disciplines of success
There is no magic get-rich-quick-tablet. There is no instant road to fame or success. Unlike some of the books or courses you can buy from the television or the internet which claim the impossible, the coach is constantly with you and by your side. He has plotted your course with you and will ensure you get to your destination. This will require help and advice, support and comfort. It will need commitment and dedication.
